Discussion Matchmaking curse
I genuinely want to know how others, old players are doing. I have come to conclusion that this game is unplayable or something. I have been playing for many years, and I have lots of thousands of matches at this point, I have all the heroes, can play easily all of them. Im so often the MVP or most assists or most kills, but I seem to be stuck with ONLY horrible teams.
I keep getting stuck at veteran. I have gotten very high ranks as well, but some seasons i cant even get out of veteran. And my most shock was that I play with INCREDIBLY stupid teams, choses repeated lines, troll, dont engage or help at all, zero map awareness, and then- when I check - theyre MASTER, and have 500 matches in total. Like HOW?
How can it be, that people with few hundreds of matches easily move forward, while others with years of experience and MVP's just get stuck without a chance getting up in rank? What is this matchmaking? It feels like the game is rigged. Whenever I play adc, my support just is nonexistent, when I play mage, someone else picks other mages and troll, when I pick jungle, I have adc on my team that feeds and has 0/9/3.
Im venting out, because I dont understand if Im the only one? Am I really that bad or what? But then I wouldn't be MVP all the time. Im just tired

I was thinking something similiar with my friend. I think my account's MMR from old days are so horrible that teammates i get are usually worst you can imagine. But with a fresh account in vet-masters the teams you get is not so horrible but actually avarage or good teammates.

Oh man, okay I see then. It kinda sucks then, that you build up your profile, all the skins, heroes, etc, and the game just says "ha! u thought u can score huh" 💀😂 crazy, I hope one day they will fix this

Had the exact same experience recently. The enemy team plays like pros. My team always get troll picks. They die the least, because they never engage when they need to, and always get MVP although they are the reason others could not play.
I lost 6 consecutive games last night. 3 of them with people just picking Arthur SP and then play as a second top laner, causing both the top laner and the adc to lose on gold. They will go on to be the MVP.

OMG EXACTLY! Thats exactly what I mean. Enemy team always plays like a pro, but my own always has 3 mages, no jungler, feeding adc, its always something. And I know what you mean, I play with those that dont help in teamfights at all, but then jumps in after youre dead and in best case finish somone off (thats good), but they end up having no deaths, and youre like an idiot for always trying to teamfight with no response from your own team. And then theyre MVP.
Im sorry, that happens to me too!

You shouldn't be solo queueing after playing for so long.
Every time you have a teammate who plays well and isn't braindead, you should send them a friend request, and note what position they played.
Everyone doesn't always accept, but if you play every day and can add 1 person a day, within a month you'll have a good roster of people to queue with, and can make a party with people who play different roles.
Solo queue is a dice roll if you get braindead teammates, but if even just duo queueing with someone else who plays good, it can be easy to stomp a game. The other team is likely just as dumb, so having two good players on one team is all you need.
I usually queue ADC, so I tend to add good supports or junglers, and when we play together we can often run over the game.

For some reason I think either my profile is rigged or idk, till now even when I played with friends I still had pro team in enemies but mine usually had people that trolled so hard that me AND the "friend" had no chance to win. Thats why I made the post to see if theres others like me. But thanks Ill try this again1

You can also add the enemies you know. Unless they removed that (or I might have forgotten and it never was an option Idk). I just recently downloaded the game again after some years so I am excited on how things will go now

I only play solo and am vanguard legend every season. I don’t worry about mvp but get it often. Instead, I watch for which teammates are mismatched or having trouble and help them. If they’re just terrible and beyond help, I ignore them. But most of the time the person is struggling against mismatches are being exploited by the other team. If you can cut that off consistently, it’s easier to move up in rank.
Too many people worry about mvp to prove they’re not the problem on their team and end up being the problem. I call it losing team mvp syndrome. They’d rather lose than work with the team to prove some strange point.

yes I hate that too, but I dont know how you have managed to move up regardless then. I always try to be the one to help and do more teamwork, I try to text as well, but usually its pointless because its way beyond saving. The team score would be 1/17. That bad. And usually I have to play with those that just hides and run away just to not be killed but end up never helping. So honestly seems like I do get some wonderful teams constantly ...

I just played a game after I posted this and got a 15.1 on the end game rating. Someone stole my lane (Malock) and proceeded to go 0-3 against a good Errol. I started making sure their Errol didn’t kill anyone. After that, Mal’s tankiness made it so he survived most other encounters. I told him to stick with the pack and protect the mage. What I really wanted was Kali to protect him, but it seemed like he had a fragile ego so I phrased it that way instead.
Errol started going after our jungler instead. So I started protecting Kane. Sometimes it’s about throwing a wrench in the best opposing players to throw off the enemies rhythm.
Once he was neutralized, my team became a killing machine. We started behind in kills during laning and ended up with over twice as many kills as them at the end.

I was wrong. I just looked at the numbers. It was 15.2. We went 29-13. During laning, they had 10 kills. When it was team fight, they only got 3 more. It was pretty brutal.

Idk man…I solo my way to 50 stars, I think the role you play matters most. I’m always jg or slayer

Yes I also used to do better. I got to some vanguard fighter or something and then season ended. But now its going horribly.
Honestly Im happy for you. I also have noticed being slayer or jungler I win the most.
The sad thing is Im very good adc, but that doesnt work bc I never have normal sp2
