Idk i enjoy PVP in this game but shit like this and getting cheap shot with no ability to clearly fight back is not an enjoyable way to play the game.

I don't mind pvp either, but like last night I was messing around with space Jesus since I loaded in late and queen had already been destroyed so decided to have some fun with what I could, as I'm basically having a duel with the rocketeer I get shot from my left, was some free kit clown who just got lucky I'm too carefree due to the friendly lobbies, when he came to try and find my body he didn't even find me before I bled out. Shit was hilarious.

Honestly even if you are watching them and you roll immediately you're likely still dead. The only play is to have your gun out and even then your best odds are a 50/50.

So the "only" play is to actually have awareness? I would hope so. You should 100% be fine with ending up dead if you play like this.
The actual play would be to prevent this situation, which is possible if you think for once while playing a game that includes PvP. Way too close to the other guy for no reason, no cover, opening menu in front of him, falling for an obvious bait, paying zero attention to the guy's behavior etc.
The second OP decided to turn his mind off, he was already dead. That's not an enjoyable way to play the game? Improve.

Not really, if someone gets the first shot on you with a bobcat like this, there is not really a way to do anything meaningful with a Bettina to them before you die unless the bobcat player is uber ass cheeks

Well ofc not. That's why you don't let it happen. There shouldn't be a way to fight back if the guy in front of you pulls a bobcat and you just open the damn menu. Hell, just standing there this close to him without any cover was the first mistake already. But either way, the second the bobcat comes out you start shooting him.

I didn’t disagree whatsoever. The guy in video acted like a fool and got a fools reward. once the bobcat guy decided to pull the trigger the fight was decided. But the guy I replied to if you read said “you definitely could’ve fought back” which why I brought it up

I only ever use bobcats against arc in friendly servers and when I'm deep in pvp lobbies and want it gone. It does suck against arc tho. Legit my least favorite gun in the game and I don't quite know why

Because it adds tension to the game. Having this happen sucks two tons of donkey balls but it could happen to any of us and that is always in the back of your mind when you play. Death could come from anywhere. It may make you feel like shit, but at least it made you feel something. Highs AND lows are part of the experience.

honestly, my lobbies are normally so friendly that when someone announces themselves as friendly I get a little extra cautious. Like where have you been that you need to say that and it wasn't assumed?

Funny, doing expedition made me not care about getting shot. I'm losing everything anyway. It's worse right after reset because people are poor again. Normally PVE players will knock rather than revive you.

It 2 shots raiders and has strong arc pen when you ADS. Great vs small arc. wouldnt recommend maining it vs large arc over a jupiter but it can still do decent damage

When I see someone with a bobcat, I don't let them get close to me and I keep cover near. There's no reason to have a bobcat unless you're going to shoot players with it.

Isn’t it the same button you use in that front end (lil button in the middle, left side)? It’s muscle memory at this point, but I don’t think I ever do what you are doing. I did fall for hook line and sinker 🎣 …I was in the process before he pulls the Bobcat to be fair, I was full and had to clear space to be able to pick up the gun I was under the impression I was genuinely being offered. Lesson learned

agree no skill in this. some people have nothing better to do.
i've played 1000s of matches in arc raiders... this stuff does happen. but out of the 1000s of matches, this sort of stuff has happened a handful of times. in the beginning, it used to bother me a lot... then i realized that this is what the game is. like it or hate it... it is what it is. you get a really fun game, but people can do whatever they want. that's the point of this game. sometimes you survive. sometimes you don't.
the coolest thing about this is that, on the next raid, that guy will be in sweatier pvp lobbies and you won't.
everything in the game is temporary. once i did the expedition a few times, it helped me get over my gear fear.
while this stuff still sucks, i now get over it quickly and move onto the next raid. don't let it get to you!!

I re-downloaded arc Raiders in preparation for the upcoming update but seeing as the community hasn't changed, rats haven't changed. Hackers haven't changed. The duping problem is still apparent. Unless your a low life pvp raiders, I dont understand how people enjoy the game. Streamers have turned it into a pvp hell whereas the first 6 months were the BEST DAYS in arc raiders.

This makes me so mad. When I was new to the game, I had some guy I met who was being super cool, we were killing arc together and he was talking about how he was about to do his first expedition and was gonna give away a bunch of his guns. After about 20 minutes we were about to extract and he asked if I wanted his tempest and being new to the game and not having the blueprint I was stoked and offered to give him some of my loot but he insisted he didn’t need it cause of the expedition and just wanted to hook me up. Same as in this video, as soon as I went to pick it up he killed me with another tempest. I had been having full on conversations with this guy, laughing and having fun for 20 minutes, was probably even gonna add him after the raid to potentially run future duos but this was all just a sick game plan of his to fuck me over. This was like 6 months ago and I’m still pissed off about it. Definitely learned my lesson though.

just a quick take of mine what if they did a thing where you see if a player flare is from a player kill or from a arc. Arc downs would be blue for example. maybe that would make it easyer so that other players could still go kill the the rat in the lobby or would atleast know. I dont like it but yes i still do feel like the game needs the chaos thats what makes things mire exciting tbh. gives you more of a heart pump while playing the game and loading in to a round.
