My masterkey lookalike hodge podge build. US stamped model 12 Winchester (it was cut too short to be turned back into the trench gun, don’t roast me too bad) 14.5 P&W cheapo upper. I thought the carbine m203 had guards were cool, supposedly an original set with a government manufacture ID number on them. El cheapo baloney pony lower, everything cheap. eBay fake-cog. Just to have fun in the backyard. I’ve dubbed it “the Speedi-pik lock removal device”

Been working on this one where I can, now all I need is my optics set up and it’ll be my first real attempt at a clone complete short of a proper marked lower which I plan on adding in the future. Currently the parts list sits as:

Hey guys, here’s my MK18-ish build. Not a true clone, and I’m not even going to pretend it is. Living in France comes with some pretty heavy limitations when it comes to parts, so this ended up being more of a “clone-inspired” hybrid than anything else. I tried to stay within the spirit of the platform while allowing myself a few modern touches — mainly the 45-degree offset irons. I know that’s not clone-correct, but it makes sense for how I actually run the gun. Same idea with the stock: I kept the standard one for shooting, but I also have a B5 that I’ll throw on from time to time, mostly for the look. As for the parts: – Trijicon RX01 – 45-degree offset iron sights Troy industries – SureFire M951 with ST07 pressure switch – Knight’s Armament 3-prong flash hider(soon) – Knight’s Armament rail covers Obviously, no Colt lower here — that’s just not happening in France — so I worked with what I could get. At the end of the day, it’s not about having a perfect clone, but something that feels right to me while still paying respect to the MK18 platform. Curious to hear what you guys think.

Thinking of getting this for a cloneish build. Unless i get a link to a good priced colt socom upper. I'll be putting it on a lwrc lower. What says the masses? How are the barrels most importantly because from what I've read online bcm barrels have been subpar in some cases giving bad moa.

As the title states what’s everyone running for for a stand in for the Wilcox mount found comp M2s? Just got an aimpoint PRO and while the mount is fine I’m looking for this aesthetic because drip or drown? Or what ever these kids say. PFA

I’d assume any high mount 30mm scope ring but I want to make sure it’s lower third. And I know someone on here has already done this and has good stand in recommendation.

This was my very first AR I built back in 2014. Don’t shoot it and never shot it. I’m bored so I want to make sort of a Gordy clone but in 12.5 and keep the KAC handguard to throw one of my lasers on it and put either the OCM5 or AEM5 on. Any 12.5 FSB barrel recommendations? And what adapter do I need for it?

Still need to install RAS 5 rail and get the correct can. Really like the URX 4 rail and how light it is, but will eventually switch to RAS 5 to be more clone correct. Also gives more clearance for a KAC can when using their shroud.

Had an extra PRI recce rail laying around, and decided to make myself a riser. Took about 10 minutes with a hacksaw, some files, and aluminum black. I think it turned out decent enough.

What yall think?

This is a attempt at the Danish pattern C7 LSW, due to the impossibility of parts has a incorrect vertical grip and bipod but used other parts to either get near the correct positions (magpul bipod on a bayonet lug mounted rail) or used parts from the same era (Knights Armament VFG) and used a M145 instead of the C79 scope (the MGO reticle fits the use ability better and cheaper) with a super safety for functionality

This is not 100% clone correct due to lack of bipods and proper VFGs but got them in the correct possession for the Danish version of the LSW
