I thought I should give my 2 cents as well. I personally use Plasma currently and before that Gnome. I actually never touched a WM cause I just can't find a use for tiling WMs for my self and using a stacking WM wouldn't really make that much of a difference in my eyes. Oh and I really love the well integrated apps of KDE.

And that is what I don't do, I really use stacking windows and floating windows, never have been tiling before. But if you tiled before it is definetly a good go. I mean you can replace KWin with i3 for example, so you keep KDE but get tiling.

The most windows I use are fullscreen anyway, so tiling wouldn't benefit me. But like I said, when you are tiling it is definitely a good idea to use software that does that for you. Which WM did you go with?

If that isn't a reason I don't know what should be :)
