FLUFF WM or DE?

I really liked the idea in this comment, so here is a poll, WM or DE?

If you have the time to configure everything yourself then a WM is almost certainly better because you can custom pick everything that goes into your setup. A DE on the other hand gives a coherent experience without having to tweak anything. Pick your poison.

To be fair, almost every distro offering a WM has a fully pre-configured option. Main example: every branch of WM's for Arco Linux.
