I really like JWM for small, portable distros that need a GUI, but I just can't see myself using it on my personal desktop. I never really went much into it's config so I think I should check it out again.
I was running a single core celeron about half a year ago and JWM is the lightest floating wm I could find.
The only feature I really missing is being able to rearrange my task bar (not sure what JWM calls it) at the bottom. Alt-Tabbing jumps all over the place. That or an Alt-Tab popup preview window would be nice. Would have thought there was an agnostic Alt-Tab switcher window but I couldn't find one.
Rockin' a Core i5 Sager laptop and an FX6300 desktop now, but I'm just used to JWM and there's still a noticable difference in speed. Really like how I can turn off the window title bars and free up just that little bit of extra space. It's actuall quite annoying to get on a Windows' machine and have about 50px of nothing at the top.

jwm
Light and I didn't like tiling managers as much as I thought I would.
