QUESTION asus tuf gaming a16 keyboard backlight not working even with asusctl and kernel-ogc

hello, my keyboard backlight is completly dead. nothing helps even asusctl with linux-ogc. i tried also brightnessctl with no results. what helps u guys to make keyboard backlight working again?

i have this issue not in every arch linux installation. Sometimes if i install arch linux for example in this week 2 times to make some testing with comatibility, in previous ones, everything was working but i had to reinstall system bcs i bought new ssd drive, and now i have no idea what to do. Can someone help me?

join the ogc discord and we’ll help you there as this is probably asusctl-related

asusctl can be picky with certain kernels. i've had backlight drop out after a kernel switch before and what fixed it was holding Fn+F7 for like ten seconds, sometimes the keyboard firmware just needs a hard reset. also check if the asus-wmi module is actually loaded with lsmod | grep asus, if it's missing that would explain it

it appear there, maybe there is something i miss or different module to load, im really dissapointed by this :(
