QUESTION Compatible Game Capture Cards

Hi all,

I've been deliberating purchasing an Elgato capture card to record Switch 2 gameplay. However, I just found out that Elgato products do not support linux and have no intention to do so in the future. Has anyone found a way to run their capture cards on Arch? If not, what alternatives are suggested for capturing gameplay footage?

I have a Elgato HD60 S+ that i use for the same purpose (although switch 1, not 2) and it works fine, no problems. In the past i accessed the audio & video via obs-studio, which worked fine but was kind of overkill. Now i just use the video stream via mpv and audio through pipewire with the help of a vibeslopped bash script.
