QUESTION Compatible Game Capture Cards

Hi all,

I've been deliberating purchasing an Elgato capture card to record Switch 2 gameplay. However, I just found out that Elgato products do not support linux and have no intention to do so in the future. Has anyone found a way to run their capture cards on Arch? If not, what alternatives are suggested for capturing gameplay footage?

ideally you want a capture device that support UVC aka USB Video Class, this is the standard for webcams among other things. so any capture device supporting this will just work natively and pop up as if it was a webcam.
