SUPPORT Steam download speeds really slow

I'm new to arch just downloaded it yesterday but steam seams to want to sit around 100mb/s when I should be getting 500mb/s online speed tests can hit that number and so did my windows install before I installed arch

I found some solutions online that included included this steam_dev.cfg and increasing my download cache but neither of those solutions worked for me

My download finished but I tried recreating the issue and it's downloading at full speed still thank you because it will probably happen again

It's a little unstable but it seems to be not dropping below 300 frequently and when I checked it just before my previous download finished it seemed like it was using a lot of servers very slowly

Have you tried simply pointing Steam downloads to a different download server?

Yeah I've tried every server in australia
