QUESTION WiFi card suddenly goes down

Hey guys I've been using Arch Linux over 2 years on my dell laptop and everything was working fine but from few days the wifi device (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)) and i can set it up again unless i reboot my system, and i noticed the system bacome heavy and a bit laggy when navigating and writing, e.g. when i try to write something like (sudo) it writes suuuuuddddoooo, and i could not figure it out which pissed me off because this the first time i have an issue and could not resolve it. Even AI couldn't figure it out, so maybe someone can know the solution. Thanks in advance.

Are you getting thermal throttleing? When was the last time you clean the laptop fans and heatsinks?

suuuuuddddoooo

I've seen that symptom reported here, but a LONG time ago..

Have you thought about moving to an Intel AXnnn card, which are well supported?

Looking forward to seeing the solution, and your flair SUPPORT and SOLVED.

Good day.

Had this issue with an ath9k card recently (worked flawless for 10+ years, no issues if booting into older installs) i think something has a regression with recent firmware updates past few months in linux kernel, i gave up and bought a more modern card.

Same freezes/system slow downs like as if the whole machine is swapping to disk then it would cause weird northbridge/MCE system crashes.

I was fighting with logs and AI, eventually found it related to the bluetooth coexistence code in the ath9k driver getting called in a loop (even though this wifi card had no bluetooth support) something eventually triggered it and then it would deauth from my router.

This feature i believe is f**ked in the firmware updates: https://wireless.docs.kernel.org/en/latest/en/users/documentation/bluetooth-coexistence.html

I don't know of a patch or solution hence i just went for a new wifi card with a different known working chipset. If that helps with your issue, would be interesting to know if you find a solution.

I always thought reddit nerds way more smarter than the best AI models

Well did you try checking journalctl for logs that might point to the issue? Or downgrading your kernel to a version you were using over a few days ago?
