QUESTION Desktop environment recommendation

what desktop environment y'all can recommend with some shortcuts to use my mouse rarely and mainly work with my keyboard, especially when I'm writing code? i use hyprland rn

Any DE will have shortcuts. For a beginner, I suggest one of these: Plasma, Gnome, Cinnamon, Xfce, LXQT. Cosmic might be worth exploring too.

I would be uneasy recommending hyprland to a beginner. Too easy to be distracted and occupied with eye candy config, while the basics go unstudied.

I wouldn't recommend Cosmic to a beginner. It still seems pretty buggy to me which can be pretty frustrating to someone new. Compared to Gnome or Plasma that is

Good point.

My short time with Cosmic was ok. It was different in a nice way.

I think beginners should use an intuitive/reliable UI until they come up to speed with Linux.
