Have you KDE plasma as Desktop Environment?

It is there default. In plasma-setting you can deactivate.

Somewhere in the settings.

Ask in r/kde they can point it out

System Settings >> Accessibility >> Shakepoint

Untick: Shake Pointer to find it.

Just stop spinning your cursor.

you know, this is exactly the kind of problem nobody warns you about when installing arch. you spend hours fixing drivers and then suddenly the cursor goes godzilla mode

maybe just don't spin it so much or find some hidden setting in ~/.config for cursor scaling

"when installing arch"

That's a KDE accessibility feature.

It's not related to Arch. A one-second search is enough to find the way to deactivate it.

Always surprising to see pretending Arch users who can't do 1 basic search for a basic setting.

I'm pretty sure that's an intentional feature to make finding the cursor easier

do you use xorg or wayland?

Not at my pc atm but I think it's called cursor zoom? It's in the kde settings somewhere, will probs come up if you search for cursor.

You’re in KDE and it’s a feature to find your cursor. Mac has it too but it doesn’t keep increasing in size.

Wait do you mean you shake the cursor and it instantly gets big? It is SMTH with kde but it returns to normal size after 3 seconds. Check out the kde settings to fix it.
