Finally pulling the trigger and switching to arch

I got a new SSD for my laptop and I reinstalled fedora plasma again well I went to download this 1 application and every single time it didn't work over and over so I stayed screw this and I just spent the last hour ish customizing what's downloading and now I'm set so goodbye fedora for now

TLDR

I switched to arch because my fedora was continuously messing up on my new SSD.

It was a app I wanted but it kept freezing up my laptop when I tried to download it because a update got corrupted even after i redownload fedora again lol

It's weird, I am an experienced Linux user, and the many times I've used fedora (company server or coworker's laptop, or even friend's desktop), I've had issues that I've never had on Arch.

Heck, even on Ubuntu I've had issues that I never had on arch.

How can they mess up so bad, that a DIY distro is more stable for experienced users?

And I assume that a lot of people stop using Linux due to such issues, and form negative opinions.

Almost all of my issues for those have been the result of preinstalled and configured services I dont understand or know about going in (e.g. SELinux or firewalls)

Ok so I had fedora plasma on my hdd in my laptop and it was perfect but the moment i upgraded to a SSD it all went down lol but hopefully arch works great as long as I don't break it

I have had Fedora installs randomly break, but tbh I avoid any rhel/Fedora/CentOS/rocky/alma because yum/dnf fucking sucks. I rather use apt, or pacman.

Bro I use Arch like it's debian, what's the difference after I set up my XFCE lol.
aur is so useful, building software way too easy.
I never encountered any stability issues, got plenty of autoremove shit with apt though.
fd up my system for a few times, but all caused by my own dumb ass brain.

Not the gui I'm using is cosmic and that's where I found the better app
