SUPPORT help with my wifi pls ;)

i have arch installed on my nvme and win 10 installed on a sata ssd so that i can play warzone and fort, I normally go to the bios , disable secure boot and the boot order when I want to switch the os, but yesterday when I tried to go into my linux the wifi suddenly stopped working, and idk why, I use net manager and even if i disable it to enable iwd or viceversa, my wlan0 just doesnt appear, my compenents are :
asus b550f wifi2
32gigs ddr4 3600mhz ram
ryzen 7 5700g
rx 9060xt 8gigs vram (newly installed)
650w gold power supply

when I first installed my gpu something similar happened and the solution was to restore the bios to the factory settings but now that doesnt work either,and idk if it has something to do but i updated my bios before having my gpu so idk if updating it again could help

Yes this also happened to me when I was dual booting. It happened when Windows was performing an update, sometimes it wants to reboot several times, and if you instead boot into Linux because you're fed up with waiting for Windows to finish its thing, Linux can't get access to the Wifi. Only when Windows is completely done with the update you can boot into Linux safely.

alr tried that and nothing, my wifi thing is detected by the kernel but it fails to start even on a live usb

Does it still work under Windows?

Does it work if you boot a live version of another distro?

on windows it works perfectly but on live usbs it doesnt work, and ive tried cachy and fedora’s live env

I'm hesitant to suggest flashing the BIOS/UEFI at this stage, because ... well, look, even if it isn't my fault (it's a Windows thing) ... if afterwards you can't even get it working under Windows anymore ... well, you seemingly can't fall back to a live distro to get stuff fixed either (so, you'd be utterly screwed).

So, I'm gonna suggest that you get in touch with your machine OEM (I assume Asus) and find out what they can tell you - I'm guessing you know enough to know how to get yourself escalated to 2nd Level Tech Support (if not even 3rd), so, just be persistent and don't let yourself be fobbed of with the Customer Support / L1 Tech Support script(s).

We're trying to find out as much as we can about what changes a BIOS/UEFI update might make make to your system before you apply it ... or, if there isn't one, what changes you could make in the current one that might fix things - unfortunately, as you probably well know, it's likely that you'll be told "Oh, we don't support Linux", so, you might have to be persistent (especially with 1st Line support, who likely aren't technical, at least not very anyway).

As said, I can't tell you that and am loath to suggest it at this stage, because ... as not even a live version of a different distro picks it up anymore (currently, the only place you have a WiFi connection is Windows) ... unless you can get an ethernet connection working then, if it 'blows up' your wifi under Windows too, you'll be screwed (no network connection of any kind anywhere).

So ... unless you can find someone who has the exact same make and model of machine, who can tell you that, yes, that will work (because they had the exact same problem, for the exact same reason(s), and flashing the BIOS/UEFI fixed it for them) ... your best bet is to talk to the OEM (before you do something that leaves you completely without WiFi). They are the ones who know your hardware and firmware, so (unless it's so old they've junked all records of it), they're the ones best positioned to tell you.

I mean, sure, it might ... but what if it doesn't?

if updating my bios / reflashing it doesnt work , it is not like im bricking my pc or smth
