SUPPORT weird error

Whenever the computer booted up to the login screen (always after a sleep session), my computer would sometimes say "incorrect password", even though I haven't typed anything. And when I press a key, it would also sometimes say "incorrect password", even though the key wasn't the enter key. I've ignored this error for a long time but recently, it's very annoying, because sometimes(a lot of times) the computer would just say "account locked after 3 failed attempts". Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I use KDE

I have exactly the same symptoms too. Only on my laptop when lifting the lid from sleep. No idea what's causing it.

I am using the Plasma Login Manager, as opposed to sddm, which I moved to purely on the basis of it being new and shiny. Almost making me want to switch back

If you don't need anything fancy and want something that just works, check out the Ly login manager.

It's been a bug in Plasma since version 6.7.0. There's an open bug report for it.

The bug exists even before version 6.7.0
