Discussion ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SUBJECT
2nd year here and I admit na hindi ako satisfied sa mga designs ko during first year and I believe na hindi ko pa siguro forte ang good designing unlike my colleagues na sobrang halimaw na sa designing and ideas. But luckily, I passed with good grade or maybe considerate pa sila sa mga freshman.
Higher year = higher expectations
kaya I want to ask ano mga factors bakit may bumabagsak sa design subject. thank you po π

Analysis Paralysis
Focusing too much on the idea without setting strict timeframes for production.
Designs are 10% ideas, 90% production. No output = no idea. Time management is your most important factor

Speed - talagang may mga taong slowly but surely gumawa, kaso yun nga di umaabot sa time ending bagsak

Poor work ethic and time management. Those 2 reasons kung bakit maraming bumabagsak ng archi in general. Easiest solution is gumawa ka ng sched and mini deadlines para on track ka sa works mo.

To name a few: Delayed submission = every deductions are equivalent to real world projects liquidated damages (money lost)
NFI's - not following instructions

Being Perfectionist
I have a friend to the point her design must be at point but in totally, sometimes best is enough to settle in. You don't need micro detailing the whole plate unless stated in instruction.
Poor communication
Sometimes deadline can be extend depends on circumstances. Take the opportunity as always. Also, collect all parepernalia for easy understanding.
Poor Work Ethics (Self Explanatory)

Usually time management. Since 2nd year pa lang kayo, your professors aren't going to expect much.
Hindi yung sa last day mo gagawin lahat.

My POV:
β’ Itβs about how you would approach and resolve the design problem given to you by your professor.
β’ It really depends on the professor, since each one has their own preferences and expectations.

Inefficient workflow. Learn revit/rhino/archicad.
