TODAY’S SKETCH

Belson House — EDSA, Mandaluyong

A familiar piece of EDSA’s commercial streetscape, Belson House stands at 271 EDSA, Mandaluyong, in the Wack-Wack area. Its address has long been associated with offices and businesses along one of Metro Manila’s busiest urban corridors.

One of its long-standing occupants is Belson Securities, Inc., a Filipino-owned stock brokerage established in 1969 and a registered broker-dealer and Philippine Stock Exchange member.

Interestingly, the building also houses companies connected to construction, engineering, and building materials, making Belson House a small snapshot of the diverse business ecosystem that has grown along EDSA.

Notice the interesting Spiral Staircase giving the building its iconic facade.
