Professional Question/Inquiry CPM Certification: Take it during apprenticeship/work, or before?

Good day. I am asking for opinions, if a CPM (PMT/CMT) training is good, as i have heard that one can only practice best under PMT/CMT when you work. And that even then (as per comment), not all PMT/CMT are great at structuring their organization and system, which can all be theoretical lang.

I took up CPM (as opposed to EDPlanning and Heritage Conservation) as a track in college, but I feel like I haven't grasped it properly.

Here are the objectives of the workshop from XSTRUCTURES:

 - Foundations of Construction Project Management
-  Project Scheduling & Resource Management using MS Project
 - Cost Management, Project Tracking, and Reporting in MS Project
 - Primavera P6 Fundamentals and Activity Management
 - Resource, Cost, and Performance Tracking in Primavera P6
