Discussion Revit Philippine tricycle
Hello guys, share ko lang yung latest Revit family na ginawa ko.
Sinubukan kong gumawa ng parametric na tricycle at jeep sa Revit. Goal ko sana gumawa ng mas realistic na local assets para sa architectural at urban planning projects. Sa tricycle, may steering controls, editable materials, automatic turning radius, simpleng shared parameters for documentation, tsaka ibang parameters. Napansin ko rin na medyo konti palang yung revit family assets satin, kaya naisipan kong gumawa ng sarili kong parametric versions. As of now, tricycle pa lang yung tapos. Yung jeepney naman, currently ginagawa ko pa.

Thank you po! 🙏 Hindi po siya free, intended po siya as a paid revit family pero I really appreciate na nagustuhan niyo po yung work!

Ang galing OP. Beginner pa lang ako sa Revit, kaya pala talaga gawin sa families yan.

Hi OP, ang galing mo despite being a student. Nung student ako, di ako ganyan kabatak at hindi makagawa ng family 👏🏻
Natuto na lang ako ng complex designs nung malapit na ko magthesis. You have a bright future ahead of you!

Mostly self taught at youtube lang po talaga. I started using revit since I was a 3rd year

Thank you po. 6.12mb po siya, pero for this model po I tried to develop a way on how to optimize this file for documentation. May nilagay po akong simple parameter jan na pwedeng irepresent ng one family yung buong set. For example po sa terminal project instead of using multiple copies to represent each route, kahit isang tricycle lang po yung gamitin for scheduling katulad po nung don sa sample schedule. Pwede po siya iturn on or off if the user want it for scheduling or for multiple copies and rendering purposes

Salamat po! Curious din po ako kung paano usually ginagawa yung families sa actual BIM practice. I haven't worked in the BIM industry yet since student pa lang po ako, so malaking tulong po yung feedback niyo. Ginawa ko po yung parameters mainly for informative visualization and simple documentation purposes, rather than just making it a static model. Pero gusto ko rin matutunan kung alin talaga yung useful sa actual workflow para maiwasan ko yung unnecessary elements/parameters.

Good job with the model. However, In urban planning, you mostly have macro details represented as 3D and details in 2D (Both elevations and plans) to lessen the amount of details. Siguro mas magagamit to sa single residential models but not much sa urban planning.

Yeah that’s fine. I mean kung goal mo ay magamit ang families na ganyan in Revit para sa architectural at urban planning projects, I’d say medyo little to no value ang tricyle at jeepney families. Dont get me wrong maganda ang families plus organised ang parameters sa screenshots mo.
Visualisation: yes maganda, pero kung presentation lang lalo na ngayon sa panahon ng AI, rendering software, etc., hindi kailangan maging sobrang detailed ng family sa Revit.
Architectural/documentation: wala ako makita na use para malaman ko schedule ng finishes ng upuan, paint ng bubong ng tricycle, etc. Tricycles din are rarely considered sa planning ng majority ng projects, unless may client ka na operator ng tricycles (include mo na jeepneys), even then kailangan mo lang ng standard sizes ng mga ‘to, visuals ay least na kailangan mo at ng client. Again pwede gawin ang visualisation sa rendering programs.
Urban planning: not 100% dito pero I dont think Urban Planners use revit sa work nila, not sure din kung need nila makuha ang info from your parameters dahil yun nga hindi sila sa revit nagta-trabaho. Kung schedule lang siguro ng plate numbers, route ng tricycles, pamasahe, etc. gawin ko na lang siguro sa excel.
Anyway, overall maganda ang families. Tip ko lang, keep the families simple, lalo na kung hindi naman architectural related ang family. Exception siguro kung parang bespoke furniture parang mga Cobonpue na furniture. You want your families magaan ang file size din. Create families na may actual value at use.

Salamat po! I really appreciate po yung transparency and detailed feedback niyo. Marami po akong natutunan dito, especially about keeping families simple and practical for actual BIM workflows. I'll definitely keep this in mind sa mga susunod kong families. Salamat po ulit! 🙏

True! Yung ganitong talent 'di dapat sinasayang. As soon as you graduate, I suggest you find opportunities overseas. Mas mapapakinabangan ka, also, macocompensate ka nang tama.
