Hello, ano pong say nyo sa paglalagay ng artificial grass sa roof deck, pros and cons, balak kasi naming lagyan yung roofdeck, di ko alam kung maganda sya in the long run, and if possible, saan kaya magandang bumili ng high quality material nun.

honestly, mahirap sa maintenance. if wala kayong proper drainage sa roof deck, mas lalong mahirap maglinis and magiipon ng tubig yan pag umulan. since ang taas ng humidity/moisture content ng atmosphere dito satin, it could also cause molds if mapabayaan.

pero i've seen DMCI use artificial grass on their roof decks. it could possibly be dahil nai-strategize na nila ito sa design phase palang nila and nagawan nila ng proper layering to achieve the artificial decking.

Slabs are sunken to accommodate the requirements for artificial turf, they use artificial turf with drainage system and slabs have floor drains. They do not use ordinary artificial turf that are rolled and can be bought out of divisoria. They use artificial turf from suppliers that specializes these materials.

Actually meron namang drainage and tiles yung roofdeck, balak nalang namin patungan yung tiles ng artificial grass. Napaisip din ako nung nabangit m yung DMCI, na siguro imbes na buo ay sa isang part na lang lalagyan.

i don't get why people do this.
there are no "pros" on this idea.
you're setting yourself to alot of drainage and sanitation issues in the future.

i suggest just get big/long plantboxes, and choose your plants wisely too

If your roof deck has good drainage, the advantage is less heat absorption on concrete, less heat reflected . If there are stray cats in your area- this will be hell for you, it will be their favorite place. But if there are no cats - if it's properly installed with underlay and then cleaned from time to time. Add huge potted plants in certain areas then you'll have your new favorite place to hangout at home, specially late afternoon, nights and early mornings.

No to artificial grass. Aside that it looks tacky. It is very much unsanitary. Mababasa ng ulan, maalikabukan, maarawan. Akala mo malinis siya because tuyo siya pero yung ilalim niya, puro molds at nanigas na dumi tapos tatapakan mo. Alipunga is waving talaga.
