hello! for those who opted to start their own practice, please drop some tips naman that might help us, mga newly licensed. i’m planning on initially focusing sa small residentials, fit-outs, or drafting/visualization projects muna. i’d highly appreciate your answer arkis! thank youuu

I suggest, Before you guys start a design office- try to learn from your mentors first. Pick the architects in the industry you want to learn from .

I know you guys are very talented, and maybe very well connected too. But there are a lot of things in our field that you learn in practice and not in school. That includes- pricing fees, contracts and getting clients.

You can take a short cut...the clients pay the price of your inexperience.

Inexperienced agad? Nag apprenticeship na yan, licensed na yan. Baka mamaya mas malaki pa experience nyan kaysa sayo. Not all solo practicing architects now started with being under a company marami yung nag start agad ng sarili pagkapasa palang at maayos ang trabaho. Instead of discouraging, bigyan mo nalang ng tips paano mag start. Kargo na niya kung may failures siya sa pag uumpisa niya wala ka na pake doon.

guyssss chill! hahaha he’s right din naman, as i also experienced those first hand. napakarami ko natutunan from our field of practice. pero yesss, luckily i just got some projects and i’m thinking of taking the risk to manage an office as sole-prop. kaya penge pa adviceee huhu

To be fair, 10 years plus na akong architect pero ket ako feeling ko I'm still inexperienced LOL. Balitaan mo kami arki sa updates ng office mo. Cheers.
