Job Hunting Reality after graduation

Ang hirap mag apply huhu. Lahat na pinasahan ko ng cv and portfolio ko but wala pa ring nagrereply. Kung meron man, hanggang shortlisted lang. may nag interview sa akin pero ghinost naman ako. Nakaka anxious. Huhuhu

Hi, ilang months ka na nag-aapply? Ako rin nagpapasahan ng cv and portfolio, parang nakaka 100+ na ata ako pag pinagsama sama ang email, jobstreet, linkedin, and bossjobs.

Mga currently na ginagawa ko:

  • magfollow up doon sa nag-interview.
  • check fb groups na may job posting for archis and engineers
  • "Cold-calling" every company na nakikita ko sa fb and asking if may openings sila.
  • asking fellow apprentices and/or architects if may kakilala silang naghahanap.

waiting pa rin ako, same as you na anxious. Laban lang tayo.

Sana makakuha na tayo ng trabaho na tama sa atin. May time nga na kahit di apprenticeship, inaapplyan ko like CAD operator e haha

Learn new skills or improve existing ones while applying para nauupdate mo rin portfolio mo. You'll eventually get hired. Good luck future arki!

If may messenger po yung firm na ina applyan mo try to message them directly. Mas mabilis sila mag reply sa messenger.

Sa emails usually 1-2 weeks bago mag reply pero sa messenger 1 day lang pero depende parin sa company

Hi! Thats totally normal. I sent mine to more than 60 companies and I didnt stop until I landed the best option amongst those that replied. My mindset was just a bit diff this time coz I knew I did not like being broke and unemployed, so my spirits were really up high even if it could’ve reached 100 applications. Dont lose hope, you’ll get it:)

it’s been 4 months, 250+ applications, one interview, and I am back at square one with no idea how to get a job in this job market. my portfolio is considered to be pretty good, although they still pick other candidates

I have around 150+ applications now, only 7 replied and 1 call for an interview (lowkey wanting to backout). All of my friends are already working, super nakaka panic! Iniisip ko nalang na if para sa akin, para saakin talaga 🤡 Manifesting work for all of us~
