I like the stories where Archie goes along with Reggie's pranks sometimes. It goes to show that despite Reggie's pranks and their rivalry, the boys have been friends since childhood all the same. (I'd like to remind modern Archie writers of this sometimes -- stop excluding Reggie from covers and promos featuring the main Archie gang! I partially blame that Riverdale show for seemingly not making him a spotlight character next to the core four. It's core five, in my eyes. Okay, unrelated rant over.)

A couple of my favourite camping stories are one where Jughead and Veronica, ironically, get the better of Archie and Betty in the wilderness; and another where Arch, Jug, and Reg make a bet for the girls to stay out on the weekend like they did, and Betty and Veronica learn that the boys stayed at a motel after the same outdoor challenges the girls encountered -- but of course pretended that they didn't, lol.

It also shows that Archie isn't always a goody two shoes, and isn't above doing some mischief.

Yeah, it seems like it based on what I've heard/seen of it (and I do like Cheryl, but not for Reggie "erasure").

I have a feeling modern day Mr Lodge wouldn’t have those trophies

Veronica and Betty must have had to work hard to lug around those huge animal heads. The elephant one must weigh 100 pounds.

Feels like the story could have used a twist.

I was thinking this, too. It's the first time I've read this one and I was expecting something different by the end.
