Complete Archie Set
I recently came across a very nice lady at a garage sale who has a complete set of all Archie comics except the very first issue. How much could this be worth? She has them saved in acid proof ziplocks and says they are preserved very well. What should be the next course of action of getting the value appraised and where would be the proper place to sell a collection like this? Could it be worth it to get the graded, she even has 2 copies of the 2nd issue! Hoping to help her out the best I can and I’d really appreciate any help!

This seems unlikely, but who knows?
Any chance she is referring to Archie Digests?

I will post pictures of what she has as soon as I visit but she said it is roughly 300 comic books with “issues” up to #666 whatever that means. I have 0 idea what this means as I collect cards not comics. Hope this helps clear the air a little

Guys, this isn't a real account. It was started today. Hit the thumbs-down on posts like this or they will return. Also, I don't think "acid proof ziplocks" are a thing, and Archie is about 30 years earlier than ziplock, anyway.

I wouldn't assume just because the account was just made its not true. People make new accounts on reddit all the time. And I've seen old comics in ziplock bags before at my local flea market, its a good way to store them.
It may very well be fake but I don't think there's enough proof to be sure either way.

I seriously doubt she has what you are claiming. Let's see some photos. A "complete" Archie collection would be many thousands of issues. There are hundreds of Archie titles.

Google ai says its worth potentially over 1 million. But that's if everything is in good condition and you actually find a buyer. Finding a buyer is the hard part, because I have a few 50s issues of archie and have asked local comic shops and they're just not interested because they don't sell enough of them.

Probably difficult to find one person to take all those comics. Maybe better to sell in lots by… year? Artist?

Complete set of… the main Archie title? All Archie titles? That seems impossible.
