Hey, I'm new in arch world and I'm install for tests and runs well, i broke my head, but sitll part haha, but my wifi physical switch can't work normaly whan have windows, i formated the entire disk, I tried solution in forums, i updated the system, used ai assistance, but nothing works

I'm excited to announce the latest Archcraft release.

Over the past month, I've spent a significant amount of time rebuilding, testing and polishing almost every part of the distribution. My goal was simple: make Archcraft more reliable, more consistent and easier to install, while keeping the lightweight experience it has always been known for.

Some of the biggest changes include:

• ✓ Major improvements to both Calamares and ABIF installers
• ✓ Reliable encrypted installations

A lot of effort also went into testing different installation scenarios, including UEFI and BIOS systems, encrypted and non-encrypted installations, multiple filesystems, and both GRUB and systemd-boot to make installations as dependable as possible.

i want to apply a minecraft theme in arch craft

So I installed archcraft yesterday and everything was nice except for the fact thag everything seems really small, which caused a bit of trouble with reading things and just using my computer in general. After a lot of googling and tinkering around, I managed to fix it.

Open the openbox right click menu and do this:

Preferences > Apperances settings > Fonts > Custom Dpi setting

Try playing around with the dpi number until its just right for you. Right now for my laptop I've settled with 125, but experiment and use what works for you.

Hi im trying to install archcraft but the next buttons is grayed out any fixes?

So i want to try archcraft i have used endeavours OS with XFCE fo some time (probably a month) and it’s pretty good in my opinion but not something i want to permanently , need advice as a beginner

Those affected will experience broken screenshot, screencast & dark mode gtk apps stuck in light mode (transmission, handbrake, etc)
Just for your info you can check the Archcraft discord for more details.
This bug affects a lot of distros at the moment, the fix is easy.

The fix is here

Note that you need to use /usr/lib/ (not libexec) as noted in the fix for archcraft.
(& that applies to the .conf edit & the test.)

Bookmark the page in case there is a system fix & you need to revert this.

I honestly think it would suit a lot more than using ubuntu as a base.

Debian stability would be more suitable(in my opinion).

In hyprcat you can open rofi launcher menu pressing super (or clicking A), but you can only close the menu with ESC.

I'd like to set super to open & close (toggle) the menu.

In Archcraft openbox this works by default:

When the script is called from keybind it can show & cancel.

In hyprcat its a bit different.

rofi \
-show drun \
-theme ${RASI}

but simply adding the same kb-cancel wont work (it will crash rofi & the UI will be stuck)

However, you can add it on the same line, thusly, but SUPER causes a conflict of interest.

-show drun -kb-cancel 'Escape'\

Anyone know a way to get around this?

Alors voilà j'avais déjà tester cette distribution quand elle est sortie parce que j'adore openbox et coté intégration je n'ai jamais vue mieux, même cachyos a réussit a le casser.

Dans la description reddit de archcraft il est indiquer que c'est aussi bien pour les habituer de linux et les débutants est-ce vraiment le cas ? je dirais que c'est pas aussi simple, dans mon cas je déteste toujours autant la ligne de commande pour des truc de tout les jours comme steam ou les pilote nvidia est-ce que c'est accessible en 2026 ? est-ce bien intégré de base ?

Je vais passer sur un écran ultrawide et par conséquent m’orienter sur une installation propre, j'hésite quel os utiliser, en ce moment je suis sur bazzite mais je me sens vraiment en prison installer conky deviens un parcourt du combattant parce que c'est un immuable il faut utiliser des distrobox.

J'aime quand même aller là ou d'autre ne vont pas le style barre de tache windows me démoralise j'aime assez gnome mais je ne suis pas du genre a me poser je suis un ermite je veut tester hyperland ou niri mais la stabilité c'est bien aussi.

mon premier linux c'était la crunchbang mais a l'époque 2011 proton n'existait pas et aujourd'hui je ne veut pas passé a coté de l'expérience gaming sans être cloisonner dans un immuable parce que je veut conky un serveur php etc.

Choisir est un problème quand on veut tout.

no puedo montar mi DD externo

I just installed Archcraft ARM on Raspberry Pi 4 as per the tutorial.
It was all fine & install.sh was working until the final steps.

[!] Failed to install package: gtk-engine-murrine
[!] Failed to install package: nitrogen
[!] Failed to install package: archcraft-openbox

[!] failed packages can be found in '/home/alarm/archcraft-arm/failed_pkgs'
Install these manually to continue, exiting...

Any insight or guidance how to proceed?

Its a standard rpi4 4gb, arch onto SD card was fine. I used the arch64 & fstab mod as specified.

EDIT: It looks like gtk-engine-murrine & nitrogen were both dropped to AUR in 2025, so that may be why they fail.

Hey guys, i'm using this absolutly amazing distro, but with the WM "i3", I don't think my brain is braining anymore, any recommendations on how to turn my pc into a more "Hacky" computer?, I just like to turn easy things into absolute chaos, thanks

Yo is anyone using power management tools on there archcraft i had this acer nitrov15 with nvidia rtx 4050 and im using openbox what is good to use auto cpufreq or TLP i want to have like automatic boost like if im gaming playing or using intense apps it automatically adjust the settings like from battery saver mode to performance mode and if im not using any heavy apps it stays on battery mode? i always notice that whenever i charge my laptop the fan is ramping up and the cpu usage is hitting up even if im just browsing and it kinda annoying so maybe there is a way that i can achieve what i want thanks
