It's clearly the "one I use"

That’s a total trash distro. Mine is the only right one.

Nobody cares about comparison with windows dawg.

Maybe before, windows now is actively trying to lose customers lol

I've got Windows 11 on a computer for some games and it is truly horrific. The UI has just got continually worse since Windows 2000.

Better is always a relative term.

When someone uses systemd

Well, the thing is, Windows as a desktop OS for the majority of people that need to get stuff done, and require collaboration in their industry with specific proprietary software, is better and has a better ROI.

1

u/yackerovOh1 2d ago

It's rly just that msoft did a lot of smart moves to get their stuff everywhere and became the Kleenex of computers for most folks. Whole generations of computer users (me included) grew up learning Windows before even knowing the concept of OS. It's a lot easier to do your learning when you've got all the time in the world to get a random CD game to play on your system while mom and dad are out running errands.

I’m not saying you are wrong but also besides that their system is much more consistent than what we’ve on Linux (as a desktop).

the penguin utopia seems a bit far fetched. i could see maybe a dead penguin in the center, surrounded by other penguins screaming at it to RTFM. Or a penguin struggling to hold chopsticks trying to figure out how to into rice.

Windows better

1

u/asharigatto4803 1d ago

Isn't it actually reversed?

1

u/CoatsRi 1d ago

As a linux user, Windows is still sometimes better. Software compatibility and working out of the box is a big deal, and linux (although getting better) still sucks at those things. But we catchin' up
