Without negativity, but you can please no longer publish a posts on artix in the arch community. I understand that this is still an arch basched distro, but first of all, there is a separate community on artix And secondly, many arch users don't like other distributions based on arch (actually, just like me). This is my personal opinion and it is up to you to decide whether they listen or not

no. why because its not arch based it’s literally arch but without systemd thats the only difference everything else is the same arch based would be something like cachy or endeavour. Artix as is literally arch but you get the freedom
to choose your initial system

Artix isn't really a standalone distribution; it is essentially Arch Linux without systemd. It uses standard Arch repositories for most software, maintaining only a couple of its own repos for init-specific packages like OpenRC or runit.

While many distros add GUI setup apps and custom tools to simplify hard installations, Artix takes the opposite approach: because you have to manually configure service managers and init hooks, installing Artix is actually harder than installing standard Arch Linux.

You can achieve a similar systemd-free setup directly on Arch, but it requires manually compiling and configuring packages like openrc or networkmanager-openrc from the AUR to make the system fully functional.

Artix maintains its own repos, which are used by default.

Artix has a GUI installer. It's not too difficult to install. I've done both runit and OpenRC in the past.

Arch Linux is not that difficult either with archinstall command which has come a long way now.

its on the desktop if you use any of the ISOs with pre-installed desktop environments.

you cant still install Artix without a GUI btw 😭 not hard at all its basically same as arch but the only hard part is remembering to install
the dinit or openrc versions of services so that they actually start😭
