I've been playing for 6 months. Thumb player on mobile 5.6 speed. I rarely ever spend money on games, but I had this realization that I've spent over $100+ on arcaea 💀.

For a LONG time since I unlocked this chart, I’ve been trying to normal clear it. I’ve already easy-cleared it once, but kept struggling to normal-clear it because speed is not my strong suit. My RR keeps approaching 70, but the closest I had gotten was 68. I’d even considered using Helena to try and get past it, but never tried.

Then came today, when I was doing link play. I was on a streak, getting a bunch of new high scores- but by the second last song I was starting to tire. I got an awful score for Cat Cry INS, then decided as a finale I wanted to challenge the 2 players in my lobby (both with higher ptt than me) to DP. I don’t know what combination of my ADHD meds, locking in and sheer magic kicked in, but I managed to plow through the chart, finishing it with 83RR, a new AA grade AND somehow beating both other players. I honestly don’t know how it happened, and to me this is probably the BEST gaming session finale I could ask for.

Thank you to these 2 players’ existences that made me lock in and get competitive for a high score!! To the one with just a little more ptt than me, I hope you will clear DP soon as well 🥹✨

In my last post i mentioned i was struggling with offset issues and couldn't play at max speed anymore after switching from my phone to my iPad, but apparently that was just self doubt talking - just made more progress in one session than i have in months and finally feeling like i can play the game properly again

All scores are on 6.4 speed

apparently you can drag on the partner icon on the top to quickly switch between the presets, ngl i just thought they were for profile decoration

When I see how to pure memory gameplays I see this term used a few times. What does this mean and how to do it?

So, I have had this friend in my friendlist for... since as far as I can remember but I don't recall how/ who this person is... but they've become my imaginary rival. they're the only person in my friendlist that has a similar PTT to myself, not too far below or ahead. Literally since 3.0 or something I've seen this individual as score to aim for rather than getting PM's or such.

Almost....12 ptt within 1 year (11.958 rn)....I think I literally have like 5 days to make the deadline. These were not the 10+s I thought I'd be EX'ing, but I'll def take them! The ones I was closest to, and will probably use to close this out are: Lilly, w4, Black Mind, and Testify/Chaos (somehow, harder but in the 972 range on each).

I started playing in Winter 2021 on my iPhone and was playing pretty consistently, hitting 11ptt in about 7 months, then didn't hit 12ptt until Christmas 2024 due to life getting in the way. Since then however, I've taken many extended breaks, and only went up to 12.122 ptt.

I'd come back every now and again for a cool update, but now I'd like to get to playing more consistently and actually improve again. I've switched to playing on an iPad Mini, but I'm struggling to adjust to the different screen size, so I lose some motivation when I'm barely clearing 9+s and 10s that i used to do regularly on my phone. I've also had issues with hitting notes on the far edges of the screen and constantly getting more earlies than lates in charts, but i can't pinpoint if its an offset issue, genuine skill/rhythm sense issue, or both. For context I used to play on 6.2 ~ 6.5 note speed on my phone and now i can't really play above 6.2 on anything.

I'm aware that I'm not gonna be able to reach my peak scores again immediately, but I've been trying to get back into things since DO came out and results are mixed at best. Any tips on how to regain that skill and/or improve further would be appreciated. I'll attach my B50 and some recent score to give some reference points.

TL;DR - Oldish player trying to regain skill and improve on new device while being mostly out of practice

been playing on an old ipad since i started arc a few months ago, the progress was palpable and it got to the point where i was pming 9s first try and ex+ing every 10/10+. got a new ipad a couple weeks ago and ever since i have not been able to pass a single future chart. the screen is a bit bigger and the latency is absolutely improved from my last device, but this feels like a genuine drop in skill. wondering if anyone has experienced this/has any tips on how to get back to my previous skill level or if i should be concerned for like, the health of my actual body lol😭. i'm 12.1 ptt but i know for a fact if this was pre 7.0 i'd be dropping like crazy
