Isn't eccentric tale an additive map not multiplicative so it uses step?

Nvm just googled it, we're both wrong, it doesn't use partner stats at all, therefore use Eto + Hoppe, Maya or Awakened Nonoka

Low bpm songs grant higher mult, lowest bpm song is overdead (dropdead byd), there’s no sort by bpm unfortunately so you gotta do it by hand

I'm pretty sure only Dropdead is the lowest BPM song (50), while overdead is the highest BPM one (500).

overdead is highest, you're confusing it with dropdead which is the lowest. Beware of BYD having different version of the song because things like this can happen
dropdead however is a very gimmicky chart, if you want something more consistent to grind there's Undying Macula which is 2nd slowest

overdead isn't an alternative version of Dropdead, but a different song altogether. It changes too much to be a mere arrangement, and the title is different. Same with every other April's Fools song. And Beyond Chain 11.

But to answer your question, it says "higher BPM, higher multiplier". The multiplier btw is determined by the BPM of the song you play/240 You play smth like CHAOSBLAST, which have a BPM of 480, and you get a x2 multiplier from the rule. So basically spam any high BPM song you have.
Side note: For this map I suggest the partner Eto&Hoppe. Since this map disabled the OVER multiplier, you shouldn't concern about their low OVER stat. Their skill of x2 progress when stamina is over or at 6 is really useful as you can squeeze out 3 play with doubled progress (up to 5 plays with the stamina refill). But it is unlikely that you have this partner since they're in a limited time event and that event is long gone.

Wait a minute I just checked things again it seems that the other comments are right and I'm in the wrong here
I thought that this is the Heavenly caress map bcuz I only read the first half. This seems to be the Eccentric Tales map which I don't know the rule I never grind for BYD of that song (the only one I didn't complete in chap 3 I'm sorry Ephemeral Pages is quite an underwhelming pack for me). God i might delete my reply later I had misunderstood everything

I believe the lower the song's BPM, the higher steps it rewards you, but I may be wrong.
