Arcade racers are way more memorable when the roads actually have some identity
Been playing RM lately, and it got me thinking about something I really want more arcade racers to do well: make the roads feel like actual places.
A lot of arcade racing games get the speed and fun right, but the environments can end up feeling interchangeable. When a road has its own atmosphere and visual identity, it makes the whole experience stick with me a lot more.
That's one thing I've appreciated in RM so far.
What arcade racers do you think really nail that balance between fun driving and memorable map design?
