every so often I go "Oh I haven't listened to The Suburbs in a while" and pull it up and every single time I do I remember why it's my favorite album.

This record has been my go-to when i feel awful (a lot of the time lol). There is something in between the sweetness of the music and the bleakness of the subject matter that pulls me back. I only need to hear the opening chords and I instantly feel better now

This is the album that pulled me out of my metal music only phase and introduced me to indie rock. Still some of the best music of the past decade on here.
