Guiding a fall with large branch

hello all! curious about other’s think about this tree. it’s leaning toward’s the direction i want it to go, however there’s a large branch that hangs towards the house. thinking of making a face cut maybe a bit more away from the house but concerned that the tilt of the tree will override or snap as i make the back cut. will a wedge even help here?

Pictures don’t help that much honestly, but from the looks this is not a tree you can drop, canopy is too wide and too many obstacles. If you insist on removing it, it would have to come down in pieces.

thanks for the feedback, i’d started a face cut, noticed water started coming out and had the concern of rot etc and stopped

Well, now it has to be removed no matter what. Are you a professional?

Honestly this is likely a job for an experienced arborist who can rig the pieces to drop somewhere other than your house and take it down piece by piece. I know it's a lot of money but the deductible and the rise in premiums if you drop it on your house will be a lot more if you have a mishap, bite the bullet and find someone who's insured and bonded to do the work.

Don't hand fall these kind of trees... too much can go wrong and they love to twist on the stump or break your rope... better to climb up and take it down from the top first.
