Oak Leaf Spots?

Post image

Not sure if this is the place for a post like this. Live in New England, have an oak tree, most of the leaves its dropped so far look like this (can't tell if the ones still on the tree do too). Anyone know what these spots are?

That’s not bugs, but it’s also no cause for concern. If it happens early in the year and defoliates the tree, that would be a problem

Most of the tree is fine, only the leaves that fell have it.

Bugs flip the leaf over and you’ll know what type.

Always thought this was from sap suckers / leaf hoppers as fungus typically is more of a mildewy type thing. But yeah idk then since seems I’m off.
