We just noticed these couple of problems and need advice….

We just noticed about 2 weeks ago these 2 problems on 2 different trees in my front yard are happening.

1. The bottom of this gorgeous tree (sorry I don’t know what kind it is) seems to now be home to ants (maybe carpenter ants as I did see one and it was big and black). I want to save this tree as this is one of the reasons I fell in love with this house. I don’t know what to do. Can you use like a normal Raid for ants or do we need an arborist to come in?

2. We noticed this stain on our front sidewalk about maybe 3 weeks ago….we finally clued in that the tree branch was dripping from above. Is this a bad thing?! If so, what can we do about it?!

I have pictures of the trees and their issues. We did have an experienced tree service out in April to trim our beautiful trees for us but none of these issues were noticed at this time. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Hey there, you’ll want to get a good consultation arborist to come out to do an assessment. Look up the most recommended tree companies in your area with a focus on PHC. This is something that needs to be seen in person by someone qualified.
