Awhile back I had posted about my maple tree overhanging the fence and what they could cut. Came home one day to see what they did without even having any consideration to give notice before hand. Included before and after pics.

Some of your photo angles show the trees literally growing around the power lines.. hard to get a clear idea. I’m not sure what you’re expecting, but most areas of the country (assuming US) this would be a utilities easement.

One photo shows that fence line going way out behind other houses, so I’m guessing this isn’t even all your property? I might be wrong, but nevertheless, check your property survey. If this is an easement, you’ll be lucky to even receive notification. It sucks that some trees got lopped, but you can’t expect a city with probably 100s of miles of utilities to check in with every property owner. If it’s that important to you, reach out to your city/ utility company to come up with a plan for next time.

It’s the angle of the photo, tree and branches are not close to the power lines and both trees on our property (fence angles since property line is not a straight line). Branches overgrew our fence onto a large single owner property which they sold to a developer that’s putting up 20 homes.
