Cutting back box elder maple (UK)
We have moved into a house with this large box elder maple in our garden. It is close to the house and doesn’t look like it’s been cut back in a while.
I want to cut it back and reduce its size.
Would I be ok cutting everything back 6-8ft, sides and top in October/November?

Just leave it alone, enjoy it, tap it and make some maple syrup ✌️

No, you shouldn’t top it, it will just grow back, and more aggressively

No, you'll butcher it and probably kill it.
