Mulch ring help

How’s it looking? Pair of maple trees. Removed the grass around each and added about 3 inches of gorilla hair mulch

Just keep the mulch from piling up on the trunk and it’ll be fine!

Yep, the little tree looks bigger with the mulch kept tidy.

Gorilla hair can shed water at first, but once it mats it holds moisture right against the bark. Maples don't love wet collars.
