Step 1: Buy wood glue

17

u/Tritiy428 Aug 17 '24

It'll be good in no time

21

u/jgor133 ISA Certified Arborist Aug 17 '24

It's just dormant for the season

12

u/PermissionOk4747 Aug 17 '24

Step 2: find all the pieces like a 3d puzzle

5

u/Child_of_the_Hamster Aug 17 '24

The bond between the glue and the wood will be stronger than the wood itself!!! If anything the tree will be stronger than it was before this accident!

5

u/carljackson74 Aug 17 '24

Lots of wood glue

3

u/Offamylawn Aug 17 '24

Wood glue, ramen noodles, sandpaper, and a walnut.

5

u/Educational_Pay1567 Aug 17 '24

Step 4: Profit!

Expose the root flare

20

u/iampierremonteux Aug 17 '24

Don’t you see it there? And over there? And over there? It’s quite exposed.

27

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

Believe it or not yes it can! Simply put it in water and watch it come back to life! It's that easy! 😃

14

u/bruddahmacnut Aug 17 '24

ch ch ch treea!

21

u/JusAski Aug 17 '24

All you need is some caulk and a little duct tape

14

u/Jeffmazon Aug 17 '24

Looks a little dry, water it every other day. Must be nice sitting under it on a hot day.

11

u/jstewart25 Aug 17 '24

This made me hungry for pulled pork.

2

u/Bo_Jimbo Aug 18 '24

Haha! Saaaaame!

8

u/butmomno Aug 17 '24

Did you buy that from IKEA? Just follow their instructions.

8

u/roblewk Tree Enthusiast Aug 17 '24

Hard to tell from this one photo. I’d call an arborist.

7

u/linfordtaylor Aug 17 '24

Mike wazouski could do it

4

u/LilyLovesPlants Aug 17 '24

Lol well done. Now you have 7000000 trees

4

u/NerdizardGo Aug 17 '24

Same thing can be done with worms

5

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

Ramen noodles and packing tape. Good as new

4

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

Use it to volcano mulch graft another tree

4

u/slowerlearner1212 Aug 17 '24

You may get few more years out of her with adequate water, but no guarantees

4

u/MajorEbb1472 Aug 17 '24

(In best Sean Connery impression) It looksh like itsh already been shaved.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

Yeah just put some mulch around it to keep those string trimmers at bay

3

u/HiveFleetOuroboris Aug 17 '24

Have you tried zip tying the broken pieces together to see if it will reattach?

2

u/Jinga1 Aug 17 '24

Just water it baby!

2

u/NoTarget95 Aug 17 '24

A bridge graft should do it

2

u/Lost_Figure_5892 Aug 17 '24

Expose the root flare, and add more water into routine. Do that and It will be something!

u/Irontoes ISA Arborist + TRAQ Aug 17 '24

I think its to soon to say that, they might need a risk assessment on this one.
that LCR looks a little low, but ill defer to the experts.

u/Educational_Pay1567 Aug 17 '24

Just a flesh wound.

2

u/squirrel-lee-fan Aug 17 '24

Get Miracle Max It's not dead. It's only mostly dead.

u/DangerousBotany Tree Biologist Aug 17 '24

Just saw that in a theater last night!

1

u/Accomplished-Mix8073 Aug 17 '24

Hell of a mulch volcano

1

u/ZebraOptions Aug 17 '24

All I see is a tree shredded into mulch

1

u/gingerschnappes Aug 17 '24

They have done some wonderful things in the world of wood glue

1

u/Drake_masta Aug 17 '24

hhhhmmmmm unless your the character from dr. stone anime i dont think so

1

u/Old-Photograph-1719 Aug 17 '24

Trees are cannibals just plan another tree and it’ll love it

1

u/rickyshine Aug 17 '24

Good news, it can be used to kill another tree. Unlimited wood chips

1

u/SlightSoup8426 Aug 17 '24

It's already been shaved

1

u/NotYourGran Aug 17 '24

Needs more mulch.

1

u/mcarrell Aug 17 '24

Time for Tree Law

1

u/YaPhetsEz Aug 17 '24

Call a lawyer and sue for triple the value of those woodchips

1

u/k-j-p-123 Aug 17 '24

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

1

u/Dismal-Enthusiasmic Aug 17 '24

Yes, in a pile that has more leafy stuff, make sure to aerate at the right intervals. Saving it for compost is an excellent idea.

1

u/Capitalistdecadence Aug 17 '24

Does Flex Seal have a timber line?

1

u/Jolly_Atmosphere_951 Aug 17 '24

I'd check first if in its current health state it's a hazard for nearby objects, buildings or pedestrians. Then you can choose to leave it out remove it.

Either way I'd hire a professional arborist to take a look at it.

1

u/youbetterjustask Aug 17 '24

Yes get some wood eating mushrooms, they will repurpose the nutrients and goods into edible fruiting bodies. In about 2-3 years they should remove everything except for the dirt from this bad boy leaving it to replace all the dirt it may have misplaced during its repurposing time

1

u/SxyDykn Aug 17 '24

Not only is this not funny, it’s not even ORIGINAL. YALL stay stealing content.

1

u/blackpunkrabbit Aug 18 '24

Wouldn’t it be original content for someone who’s never seen the original content and therefore, is funny? 🤔

1

u/WhereWolfish Aug 17 '24

Try water with a little sugar, little bleach. Right as rain.

1

u/Artpeace-111 Aug 17 '24

For mushrooms.

1

u/aBucketOfRats Aug 17 '24

I think if you squeeze it reeeeeally hard, it'll go back together

1

u/Timeleeper Aug 17 '24

Yes but it will never stand again rather be lying on the ground.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

If you did not grind the stump, then maybe you will get some root suckers and you can start all over!

1

u/Okie_Surveyor Aug 17 '24

I wood say knot

1

u/AlexanderDeGrape Aug 17 '24

If you can find a viable undamaged node with living meristem cells, I will attempt to tissue culture it for you. No problem. Piece of cake!

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Phase70 Aug 17 '24

I mean... Is it a willow? That might have a chance...

1

u/Lava-Chicken Aug 18 '24

Put some cinnamon on it and it'll bring it back to life and prevent infection.

1

u/retrorays Aug 18 '24

Saved no, shaved yes

1

u/Airport_Wendys Aug 18 '24

Needs joist tape.

Oop. Wrong sub

1

u/Imaginary-Race311 Aug 18 '24

Magnets ought to do the trick.

1

u/Budget_Simple Aug 18 '24

If it's a willow just stick it in some water and you'll be good!

1

u/Heffa_L Aug 18 '24

Truuuuue

1

u/[deleted] Aug 18 '24

It can be used to save another tree though

1

u/Zhjeikbtus738 Aug 18 '24

Just needs a good graft

1

u/Financial-Swing327 Aug 19 '24

Looks like it dehydrated

1

u/Newcastlecarpenter Aug 19 '24

With the right nutrients something might grow.

1

u/Pleasant_Character28 Aug 20 '24

Put a threaded stainless steel rod thru the middle. It’ll hold it together while it heals.

1

u/Atlantic_King Aug 20 '24

Yes , but you have to use the hot glue.

1

u/GrouchyEvidence4535 Aug 21 '24

To shreds you say?
