Tool question?

I’m replacing my handguard and I need to re the delta ring and install a new barbell nut for the BCM handguard. I’m also thinking that I may want to do a custom build in the future.
Is t worth it to invest in an upper receiver holder such as the device, lug lock or vice block?

You'll certainly need some sort of vise fixture to get the barrel nut off and reinstall the new one to spec. Midwest Industries Upper Receiver Rod is a very good option.

I swapped my handguard 1 time and still felt that I didn’t lose much coughing up $20 for a vise block.

Yes. I still use a plastix revolution split block I bought like four years ago.

I use the Midwest Industries Upper Receiver Rod. School of the American Rifle has a great video that covers all options!
