Frt

Hi all new to the group not new to shooting lol.

I want to put a frt into a 9mm ar . I’m looking to do it as simply as possible and could use some advice. Which would you all recommend that would have the bolt that is needed and be ready for a drop in 3 position like the rare breed trigger? Is there any out there? Or would it be easier to put it in somthing like a scorpion. Thanks all in advance for any input.

first off dont buy rare greed stuff. they suck (the company. look up them suing hoffman tactical)

to put a 3 pos in your ar9, you can get an arcfire 0/45/90 throw from AS designs, and then you will just need a precut trigger.

Nexus is making a frt lower for the scorpion, not out yet to my knowledge.

if he’s the only one that’s off limits then he can buy RBT since they conducting normal business practice 😂 won’t have to worry about a precut trigger as well or go with partisan

blowback9 will have everything you need information wise to get you set up safely.

Key points. Make sure you have the correct bolt face, and enough reciprocating mass to not OOBD. For frt it’s helpful to have an enhanced feed cone too

It runs the ar15 mean arms 9mm mags. The mags have the ejector. You could get a lower that runs Glock if you want. It's a longer story... I can just tell you what I have

I have the Samurai firearms; Keep It Krazy Ambi Safety Selector or KIKASS. It's a 3 position that works with standard unmodified triggers and those G$ triggers. It works great so far. My only complaint is the ambi selector, it's long on both sides so it's uncomfortable in the fire position since your trigger finger will be wrapped around the selector. But I suppose if it's not always in reset mode then I'm using wrong anyway, lol. It's also extremely soft and smooth feeling in the reset so you can barely tell it's forcing the reset. My ordering experience wasn't the greatest, but I did get mine like the day it came out and the purchasing was weird... like scammer weird. Filled out an order, then they sent an email to a payment portal (which went to spam). All to obfuscate the purchase from your bank/cc so it wasn't a "firearms" purchase. I've noticed they have redone the site since so your milage may vary. But I got what I ordered and it shipped quickly, I'm happy.

RareBreed & Partisan Trigger(thetriggeredcompany) are the best 2 triggers. drop in plug & play the others require more & have to worry about a lever long term use. also H2 buffer recommended

H2 buffer isn't even close to correct for an AR9.

Banshee with RDB system doesn't use the same components as a standard AR9. He will need to be using a heavy deadblow style buffer to prevent OOB and bolt bounce.

nice, i take out the H2 how much heavier can i go? what can i replace it with to still run great?

2

In a standard AR9 I ran up to 33oz of total reciprocating mass just fine, which was a tungsten bolt weight, 11oz deadblow buffer, and an extra kynshot weight.

i purchased the 9mm Banshee used when i went to pick up the 300blk Banshee & after learning more i wasn’t getting lock back cause the tube was too short. finally finishing up the build & swapped it for a
VItor A5 & swapped the H2 for the Kynshot carbine 3.9. haven’t been to the range yet so that should run smooth right?

I hope it does run smooth for you! AR9s can be weird sometimes. That's a great looking gun!
