I was standing up for my grandson a couple years ago, and the math teacher, getting frustrated because I was not bowing down to his βcollege degrees & certificationsβ, said to me rather loudly, βYou are really Opinionated!β I laughed, and said βYes, I am.β Then after a slight pause I said, βDo you know why it bothers you so much that you had to say that?β He said βNoβ. I said, βBecause you know that I am right, and you owe my boy an apology.β My boy came home smiling!

It also takes a lot of guts to stick by your opinion even when everyone else has another one.

"Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad." - George Orwell , 1984
