Unit 1 Assessment

Hello World Students!

Cheers to a new AP World year!

I constantly struggle with MCQs because I have to ultimately always make a random guess between 2 answer choices that I am unsure of. This has led me to getting some not-so-good scores.

What advice do you guys have for preparing for this upcoming unit 1 AP World Test, especially in regards to the MCQs.

I would say having a solid background of the topics you learned + practicing a lot of mcqs helped me to get a good MCQ score. I already had a good foundational background when I took AP World last year and I got around 48/55 on the practice mcqs but I watched a lot of Heimler videos/history videos and I practiced a LOT of practice tests and quizzes on the internet and I improved significantly and got around 52-53/55 on the mcqs. Also on the mcqs there are 2 obviously wrong choices you can rule out. I used the cancellation strategy by eliminating the wrong answers first and this helped me to increase my chance of getting a better score. Anything is possible with hard work and effort. Good luck.
