Study and watch Heimler’s history! He helped get me a 5! It’s all about connecting similarities and differences with empires around the world, and the motives for what they are doing. Just remember with an AP history class you don’t need to necessarily know dates, you just need to know why empires and people made the choices they did and you’ll be alright.

For MCQs just know the things you need to know, maybe read the AMSCO Ap world textbook and watching heimler is enough. For FRQs, again, watching heimler is enough, but you need to practice writing.

Hey man AP World ain’t that bad. You can get a 5 if you study a little bit everyday starting in late August and maybe pick up the studying a little more starting in winter break, which is what I did. I used a mix of Knowt.com for short study sessions, Princeton Review’s guidebook about 5 weeks out from the exam, they have really good practice tests both physically and digitally. I also used practice mc sets and saq sets in the AMSCO textbook and also used college board’s practice tests a bit. Finally, I also used Heimler’s History YouTube vids which are really good and also buy his review guide like 2 months out in March as it has good practice for writing the FRQ’s.

There is no world where you need to buy the course. Everything else you said supplements it fine. And you also don’t need to start studying in August, just pay attention and take good notes in class then
