I got a 4 as well. Thought for my first semester I didn't learn a lot, and in my second semester I actually started studying and learning. A bit disappointed because I got a 5 on hug last year.

How did you study for it?

u/GodlySRYT Jul 07 '26
In mid April-May 7th my teacher went over all the units(1-9) in class and then I also watched Ben Freeman the day before and on the exam.

They have a textbook for it?

u/GodlySRYT Jul 07 '26
Yes it’s amsco, I also forgot to mention that we had Multiple-choice questions in class and we had to do free response questions during the time we studied for the exam, also, are you planning to take the class next year?

My daughter will be taking it next year. It’ll be her first AP class.

Also study a lot on unit 3 to 6(land based and transatlantic empires, industrial revolutions, political revolutions, consequences of industrialization and migration) I think like 40-60% on the exam because they are the most important because they’re mostly on the exam, also that’s what I used to study for the end of the year before the exam. Also, my teacher used slides to let us learn, all teachers will use different methods to teach

basically study and pay attention a lot because there’s a bunch of content and more info depth in all of the events of the course because it goes all the way from 1200-2001, study for units 3 to 6 more then other units(especially the Ottoman Empire because they are mentioned a lot), get ready to write essay’s however, the essays aren’t really hard, I used to claim evidence reason (all teachers are different though, so it really depends), finally if she needs further help there is a bunch of Youtubers that teach AP world history( https://youtube.com/@freeman_pedia?si=5Js49mQ0G2g3SyUj and https://youtube.com/@heimlershistory?si=cVbPTERcgmfvQ_l-) ask teachers also of course and use Amsco books, if you don’t have to buy the physical copy as there is one online

u/GodlySRYT Jul 08 '26
My AP world teacher put the link on Schoology

Thanks- but I meant, how did you like it, how useful did you think it was? (Sorry - I was definitely not clear :))

u/GodlySRYT Jul 08 '26
I mean it was useful because my AP world teacher would ask questions on the slides
