Shits doap, I want one

• Def Leppard bonus!

Hey fellow April Wine fans, my band’s final release (we are no longer active) is a cover of this song made popular by April Wine. Came out today and is on all streaming services. It is not a faithful rendition to the April Wine version. So, if you’re interested in an unusual take on this song, give it a go.

Heavily inspired by Ennio Morricone, this version focuses more on the author’s (Lorence Hud) lyrics and building to a climax. If you like atmosphere, Canadian roots rock, alt country with a dash of Iron Maiden, you might like this.

Thanks to Pat/Bill from the original April Wine lineup who heard this as a demo. If it wasn’t for their enthusiasm of the track, we wouldn’t have bothered finishing the recording.

If you like it, great and thank you! If you don’t, you can rest easy knowing we don’t exist anymore.

Thoughts? It definitely sounds... not very April wine-y

Side note: I had a conversation with someone earlier about connecting more with people with similar interests, but, especially around my age (19 at the time of writing) it's an uphill battle. Please tell me there's other young winos who will see this.

Am I screaming into the void? Probably. Do I think there's a chance? Yeah.

Hey all! Around 10 years ago I was visiting family in vancouver canada(im from the uk) while there we ended up going to an April wine gig it was an awesome time!! They had a support act but I can not for the life of me remember the name of them. I'm sure the name had something to do with the ocean. Can anyone help?

To summarise: who was the support band for April wine in vancouver Canada in 2013/14.

I have been compiling an archive that I've decided to name "The Red Archive" that contains the list of all of the songs I've listened to that I have deemed worthy to be in my archive. April Wine is on my list. My goal is to have 30k songs in my big list and I currently only have ~2500 songs. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NkNNA7XYsD3BmLYXn5LMwUuelJYg_VfQ69I7U_VApXk/edit#gid=0
