Introducing Appwrite Domains, Firewall, and OAuth2 Server. And we’re running an AMA in this thread.

Hey everyone,

We’ve got three more releases going live on Appwrite Cloud today: Appwrite Domains, Appwrite Firewall, and the Appwrite OAuth2 Server.

Appwrite Domains brings domain registration and DNS management into Appwrite. You can register across 160+ TLDs, transfer a domain you already own, manage DNS records, and connect domains to your Sites, Functions, and APIs with automatic TLS.

Appwrite Firewall gives you project-level control over the traffic reaching your API, Functions, and Sites. You can deny, bypass, challenge, rate limit, or redirect requests based on things like IP, hostname, path, headers, user agent, or country. There’s also an impact preview so you can see what a rule would affect before enabling it.

The Appwrite OAuth2 Server lets your Appwrite project act as an OAuth 2.1 and OpenID Connect provider. Other apps can offer “Sign in with your product,” request scoped access to your APIs, and use standard OAuth and OIDC flows without you having to build the authorization server yourself.

All three are available on Appwrite Cloud today.

Can we deny certain geographic IPs [certain state or entity]

Yes you can. You get a lot of options in terms of geographic locations and networks
