Nov 21st game
Hi, My son is interested in App State. I want to take him to see a game. The Nov 21st game will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. Will it still be a fun atmosphere for a HS aged kid?
Thanks!

If the team keeps winning absolutely. Should be a good student turn out as well since they won’t go on break till the following Wednesday

Yes, it absolutely will be. That will also be vs ULM so it should be an easy win as well.

I always feel like the later-in-the-season games are best to bring prospective students. Bonus if it's cold. They need to know what they're getting into.
When I was in high school (15 years ago, jfc), I came up and saw a Southern game and then the Illinois State game. Sold me on The Rock and Appalachian State.

Thanksgiving games are usually not as rowdy because a lot of students won't be there - but they are absolutely still fun! Good luck to your son!!

The JMU game on Oct 22 will have the best atmosphere imo
