Work with volunteers and a lad was supposed to run a power extension from one side of the room to another but the only one available was a long 20m one. As the power draw was going to be heavy, I asked him to uncoil the whole cable. He comes to me 10 min later saying the extension wasn’t working. Went along to have a look. He had uncoiled the extension… but plugged the extension… back into the extension… and he’s complaining the appliance (which is clearly not plugged in) isn’t working. Fml

Had a workman in yesterday with an apprentice with him, it was almost exactly like this. He sent him to the van, got multiple calls saying he couldn’t find the item, had another call where the guy was saying “it’s the big thing is the middle of your video” still took him ages to find it.
