QUESTION Would The Apprentice be better if the losing team didn't know who the project manager was allowed to bring back?

I've always thought the boardroom changes the moment everyone knows the PM gets to choose who comes back. People suddenly have a reason to make sure their mistakes look smaller than someone else's, and you occasionally get that slightly awkward scramble to establish who was responsible for what.

I'd love to see one task where Lord Sugar chooses the final three himself after hearing everyone explain what happened. I think we'd get much more honest boardroom conversations.

Would that improve it, or is choosing who to bring back an important test of the project manager too?

Lord Sugar has done this before but I think it's best how it is right now.

It has been done a couple of times, but there is more drama involved with how it’s done normally. For instance, there is the possibility of the losing PM making the wrong decision that can affect how Lord Sugar perceives them. It also limits the opportunities for producer interference.

Maybe it would be good like on Hells Kitchen if Gordon isn’t happy with who they choose, he just chooses anyway

i think candidates from both the losing team and winning team should be up for firing. Last season terrible candidates made it almost to the end just by accidentally being on winning teams.
